The first quality we look for in a daycare technician is a sheer love of dogs, but it doesn't stop there.  In addition to that prerequisite, we search for people who possess a keen sense of responsibility and dedication to making your dog's time at daycare a safe and enjoyable one.  We want people who will treat your dog as if he is their own.  As they say, good help is truly hard to find.  Since the beginning we have searched high and low and been through a lot of trial and error to assemble a staff we can trust will treat your dog with the utmost care.  Like every business, we've hit some snags and have had to make some changes along the way.  Without hesitation we can assert that we have finally assembled the most professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy and well-trained staff around and can now say.... YOU'RE DOG IS IN GOOD HANDS AT PUP 'N IRON.

Laurie Williams - Director of Training & Behavior Counseling

The Pup 'N Iron doggy daycare did not pop up from whim.  I didn't wake up one day and say, "hmmm, I think I'll open a dog day care!"  It isn't an after thought or a way to make more money while I'm conducting a completely unrelated business.  To the contrary, it is the culmination of years of research and planning to create the safest, most stable and productive environment for dogs to interact with each other in.  As a result, the Pup 'N Iron daycare was created and has continued to grow at a steady rate, always accommodating the needs of our dogs first and foremost.  I'm proud of each of our current daycare technicians.   Not only are they fully trained in canine behavior and body language, but they are dedicated to ensuring your dog's safety and care while in their hands. They are proactive and attentive to your dog's needs. They are ready and willing to ensure your dog's safety and well being while in their hands.

I proudly present to you our 2007 Premier Pup 'N Iron Daycare Technician Staff

Jackie Pratt - Operations Director

Jackie has been a daycare technician at Pup 'N Iron since October 2005.  From the beginning, Jackie has watched the daycare grow from 4-5 dogs a day to 25+!!  Jackie is proactive, honest, trustworthy and dependable. As operations director she keeps things running smoothly for your dog while at daycare by making sure everything behind the scenes is maintained.  She is certified in Red Cross Pet First Aid & CPR and is one of our swim technicians, ready to take your dog for a dip in the pool.  Jackie is currently enrolled in the Pup 'N Iron Canine Educator Apprentice Program and plans to begin teaching classes next Fall.  She shares her home and life with her family and three dogs, Phoenix, Cote and Pepper.  She competes in rally and competition obedience with her dogs.

Jessi Sherick - Daycare Technician/Dog Trainer

(photo coming soon)

Jessi has been a part-time canine educator at Pup 'N Iron for over a year and we are pleased that she has now joined our early morning daycare staff.  You will likely see Jessi first thing in the morning when you drop your furbaby off at daycare.  Early morning check-in is one of the most excitable times during the day.  Having an experienced professional on hand to manage the daycare environment and make sure all dogs get in safely and happily is essential.  Jessi brings her years of doggie daycare, professional dog training and canine behavior experience along with her, aain, placing Pup 'N Iron far above the rest.
