CHOREOGRAPHY CRASH COURSE FOR CANINE FREESTYLE with KRIS HURLEY

Saturday, June 21st, 2008
5:30pm – 9:30pm

For many new freestylers – and sometimes even experiences ones, the thought of having to choreograph a two-minute routine can seem very overwhelming.
  • Where do you start?
  • How do you figure out what moves go where?
  • How do I get from one side of the ring to the other?
  • What if I don’t dance?

As with any other task, being able to take a step-by-step approach can often make a process easier.

This workshop will be a “crash-course” of Kris’s regular choreography workshop and will cover the highlights of the 8-Phases she’s defined for developing a routine to help make it easier to build your first routine – or to help you better understand the process you may already be using.

The phases that you will be guided through include:
• Defining Your Goals • Selecting Your Music
• Planning Your Routine • Mapping Your Routine
• Smoothing Out Transitions
• Polishing Your Routine
• Final Refinements
• Lights! Camera! Action! – The Performance

Fee: $40
